Whitewater river rafting in the Canadian Rockies near Banff National Park

Kicking Horse Classic

Upper and Middle Canyon - 20 kms

This unforgettable journey begins calmly, allowing rafters to familiarize themselves with the raft, paddles and guides commands. Enjoy the serene upper section of the river before heading into the mighty rapids of the middle canyon. As the Canyon narrows, the waves build, taking rafters on whitewater journey through class 4 rapids, finishing 20km downstream!

A great whitewater experience. Lots of rapids and waves make this one of the best whitewater tours available.

Enjoy 2 hours of rafting time before heading back to the rafting base to enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch and view a slide show of your rafting photos!

This trip is perfect for the first time rafter. No experience is necessary.

Ultimate White Water

Upper, Middle and Lower Canyon - 27 kms

Raft every rapid the Kicking Horse River has to offer! Starting with calmer rapids on the upper canyon, you can get to know your fellow rafters while enjoying the spectacular scenery of the Kicking Horse Canyon.

Then it's on to the thrill of the middle canyon rapids with Portage and Shotgun before pushing forward to the lower canyon. Known for deep canyon walls and mighty rapids, it is the most challenging part of the Kicking Horse River. This section of river offers one of the longest, sustained class 4 to 4+ sections of whitewater in Western Canada. After an intense whitewater ride, the river calms and ends in the town of Golden.
