Nakoda Ropes Course

The Nakoda Lodge Ropes Course offers an exciting adventure activity on the spectacular site of Nakoda Lodge, offering breathtaking views of the foot hills of the Canadian Rockies.  Participants are able to jump, zip, climb and traverse their way through a series of obstacles located 30 feet off the ground using equipment that climbers use. Participants can choose any order they want to do the course!!

Designed to be accessed by individuals looking to chart their own course of adventure, the elements of the ropes course can be done in any order they choose, as many times as you like.  There are 15 elements including:

• Zipline: climb up, clip in and away you go! For those who have the need for speed.
• Postman’s walk: a tight line at your feet and a tight line at your waist make this a very thrilling challenge.
• Swinging log: like surfing on a long board, except you are 25 feet off of the ground.

To navigate through all the elements takes roughly 2 hours - but you can choose how long you want to be up and when to come down!

While some physical strength is needed, the real challenge is in conquering the perception of risk and danger. On this ropes course you do not need to “keep up” until the end, rather you choose your own comfortable pace! The helpful staff are there to assist anytime as well!
